About

Groundwork is a set of daily movement practices you do yourself, in your own space, on your own time. No studio, no subscription, no uniform.

It exists because the wellness industry often sells remedies for the same stress it helps produce. Groundwork is the opposite: free, self-directed, and stripped of branding, lineage, or certification.

What This Is

A practice built from several independent research lines:

Every claim is cited. Where the science is interpretive, it's marked as such. See Research for the full basis.

What This Is Not

The Name

"Groundwork" means foundation. Most practices are done on the ground. The work is practical, unglamorous, and essential — like preparing soil before planting.

Who Made This

One person with research access, a floor, and a body that felt better after moving. The only authority that matters is your own nervous system's response to the practice.
